The Gows old forge is a blaze to-night,
Red sparks fly out the door,
The boys were clustering round the hob,
    "Big Nick upon the floor"
The sledge he wields the iron yields to his stout and smashing blow,
The Rafters ring to the sledges ding and the "Gow" beates time Ho, Ho,
    And the anvils song
    Is to right a wrong
    With a ringing swinging blow.
