  1. Many years ago there lived a family near a rath. They put up a clothes line in the way for the fairies.
    They had a very valuable horse in the stable. Every morning when they used to go out he would be black with sweat, because the fairies used to have him out at night riding. This was going on for a few weeks and an old woman advised them to take down the line and when they took it down the horse died.
