In a field on Long's farm in the Townland of Coolmeen, there are three very huge stones equally even in size and shape. These stones are believed to have been trown by three giants from a place near Harristown for a bet. The three giants threw the stones in a field near Coolmeen and the stones are standing near each other and are wedge shaped.
In late years two of the stones were broken down and put in the wall but one of the stones is still to be seen and I am sure will remain there for many years.
some people say one of the giants is buried in Leacanscail in the townland of Harristown.
