  1. The people of this district and every other district buy most of the food they use in the shops. Some of the food they get is not very wholesome. That was not the way long ago they used to use the food they produced on their own farm.
    The food they use now is very different from the food they used long ago. The food they used long ago was stirabout oaten cakes and potatoes. They used to eat stirabout twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
    They used to have buttermilk with the stirabout and often times they used to have water with it. They used to have a roasted herring and buttermilk with the potatoes. That is not the way now they have meat and cabbage and other vegetables
