  1. Somethimes the marriage is arranged by the parents and other times by the two people themselves. Most of the marriages used take place at Shrove long ago and some of them take place during Shrove still. The marriages take place at any time of the year Now-a-days and it is said that certain days of the week are unlucky to get maried as the following rhyme shows.
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wensday the best day of all
    Thursday for losses
    Friday for crosses
    Saturday no day at all.
    It is said that May is also an unlucky month to get maried.
    Marry in May
    You'll rue the day.
    The wedding day the parties go to some neighbouring town such as New Ross Waterford or Kilkenny and have a big wedding breakfast. After the wedding
