  1. In John Connolly's land in Scartnamoe there is a field called Tora Poer's Field It was owned at one time by a man of that name. Another field of his is called the Cottage Field because Mac Donald's cottage was built in it. A third field of his is called the Shanty Field. There was a shanty or public house there long ago. A fourth field is called the Bán Árd.
    In Kearney's Curraghmore they have Costelloe's Field
    Walsh's of Davidstown have Brien's Field, The Weavers' Field - Grant's Field, Dea's Field.
    Danny Whelan of Ballinlaw has the Coffin Field (This field is shaped like a coffin)
    Aylwards of Rochestown have a field called the Cottage Gap where Dillon's Cottage stands.
