On Ash Wednesday people go to Mass to get the Blessed Ashes.
On Whit Sunday and Monday the Co. Wexford Feis is held either in Wexford, New Ross, or Eniscorthy.
On May Eve the people get a bush - a furze bush - They decorate it with ribbons and coloured papers. They stick it in the manure heap. It is supposed to keep away evil spirits and to bring good luck for the year. It is left there until May is out.
