  1. Bellevue is another seat of a branch of the Power family. Where in days gone by pineapples were grown and at present oranges, lemons, and palms are grown. This is so called because of the fine view which can be had from it. There are many songs about it for example:-
    The walks are so gracefully winding.
    Woodnymphs might dance in the glade.
    To the gay River Suir its inclining.
    And evergreens bow in the shade.
    Ding Dong Doo! Sweet Bellevue.
    Home at one and back at two.
