    A hedge-layer named Peter Doyle died suddenly at his work...

    A hedge-layer named Pete Doyle died suddenly at his work, in Co. Carlow about twenty five years ago. In life he was noted for his tremendous appetite. He was known to eat 6 one lb. loaves 15 eggs at one meal and he often consumed 2/- worth of bread in a 3- meal day. This is roughly equivalent to 16 lbs of bread.
