  1. After the battle was over there was a woman named Mrs. Darcy. She went around lamenting over the dead bodies of the police. (mar eadh). Her object was to rob the pockets of the police. Mrs. Darcy was engaged to one of the police. She said to the men who killed them that she would have them all hung in the morning. She was never seen again. She would be an informer if she had to live. The next day a man sang the song and he was put into jail.
