  1. There was once a man who was every day working in the forest cutting wood for the fire.
One evening as he was coming home he saw a beautiful lady dressed in white.
He raised his hat and bade her good night.
She asked him what he was doing so late, and he said "I am cutting faggots which is not a very good trade."
"Would you like to be rich," she asked him.
    "O, I would" he said.
Then she asked would he like a can of gold, and he said he would be thankful to anyone who would give him one.
"Open that can you have in your hand" she said.
He took the lid off the can and was surprised to see it full of gold. He was delighted but thought that if the can were bigger he would have much more gold.
