  1. Long ago the people did not wear boots until they were about twenty years. The old people would not let the water they washed their feet with inside over a night. If a fairy came to the door the water would open it for him. Long ago the cobblers were very plentiful. Some of the children go barefooted in the summer. Some of them go barefooted all the year round.
