  1. The schools that we have now are quite different from schools that were out long ago. Long ago they used to have school in the fields in summer time, and in old houses in the winter.
    There were many more subjects taught long ago than there are now. The subjects taught long ago were Reading, Writing, dictation, Arithmetic, Euclid, Mensuration, Book - keeping, Baldwin's, Agriculture, Grammar, Geography, History and algebra. Some of these are taught yet but not all of them.
