  1. Many years ago some locals walked several miles to Country Dances especially in the months of December and January. Distance mattered not provided a good night's enjoyment could be heard.
    When passing by Ballinagare or Tulsk according as the way lay west or east they had a few drinks. The funds at length became low so they coaxed a non-drinker to accompany them this night.
    When in the Pub this young man was led to believe that a few bottles of Stout were good for him and helpful on a cold night walking.
    He took two or three and of course got sick. Remorse
