    Religious People
    there was a very religious man living in the village of Raheen, Elphin, Co. Roscommon. His name was Luke Connor. he died about forty years ago at the age of eighty years. He was a professed Carmelite and used to go to the monthly meetings in Stokestown. Whenever ate only two meals in the day-time, only praying. He was never known to curse or to use an angry word, he was known to all his neighbours as "Father Luke" Every Friday night, he went over the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He never tasted any kind of intoxicating drink.
