    One day James Mac Glynn was turning a heap of potatoes in his garden at Creeve in the Co Roscommon. John Beirne his neighbour was passing and he said, "You have the best", and the biggest potatoes I ever saw. They are said James, God was a sleep when they were growing.
    Another man named martin Kearns had a great field of green oats. One day John Connellan was passing and he said "You have a great field of oats," "It is said Martin", "if God let it alone. So God did let it alone and it remained a fine field of green oats.
