    1. The people of ancient times never wore boots until they were twenty years of age. The children of the present day wear boots in Winter and go barefoot in Summer. I have no stories connected with people who never wore shoes.
    No boots are made in the district nor no repairing neither. The number of shoemakers at the present time is about three times as large as the shoemakers long ago.
    Clogs are not worn so much now. Long ago clogs were made locally and brought to the shops to get tips for them.
