  1. Old Graveyards

About a mile outside the town of Boyle in a place called Drum there is an old disused graveyard.

About a mile outside the town of Boyle in a place called Drum there is an old disused graveyard. There is no trace of this graveyard to be seen at present, as many years ago people named Judges took some of the tombstones to help to build a house, which they were building at that time. They built this house beside the graveyard and it was said that anyone, who lived in it never had any luck in it. There was also a graveyard for unbaptised children on the right bank of Lough Key some distance from the Wooden Bridge.
