    There are quite a large number of fairy forts in our district but the one that is best known by the inhabitants, and is the most fabled is that owned by a man named Pat Flynn.

    goblins, and they working as hard as they possibly could, turning the long reeds that grew inside the fort into horses, while each tiny fairy cried out "Give me a horse."
    Without thinking of what he was saying Briany cried out impulsively "Give me a horse." Without a word he was seized and placed on a fairy steed and off with the whole troop of fairies over hill and dale, with Briany at their head. At length they arrived at a house in which there was great feasting, and gaiety, for it was the wedding night of the only daughter of the house. The fairies clambered down the chimney, and in on the loft overlooking the wedding table at which the bride sat.
