    On Hallowe'en night many customs are practiced in my district.

  2. Many customs are connected with May Day. Long ago it was supposed that witches and evil spirits roam through the country before sunrise casting spells over man and beast. to break this charm may flowers were collected on May ever and scattered on the threshold and windows.
