- There are a great many varieties of birds in our district, the most common of those being the blackbird, robin, thrush, sparrow, seagull, swan, pigeon, blue-bird dove and swallow. The nests are usually made of twigs, interwoven with moss and grass, and plastered on the outside with clay, and on the inside lined with downy feathers.(continues on next page)- Informant
