  1. In the months of November and December most of the school children had the mumps.
    One day a gentleman came into the school and told us a cure for them. This is the cure :-
    Get an asses bridle and place it on the head of the affected child. Then take the child and lead him three times around the pig-sty saying those words "Muc, muc chugat an leicneach. In ainm an Athair agus an Mhic agus an Spiorad Naoimh, Amén."
    The words are to be repeated three times. This is a proven cure for mumps.
