    Setting eggs.
    The women of Ireland now as of old are famous for their rearing of poultry as by this means they are able on small scale to provide most of the necessary small buying in for the home. As the Christmas days are over they prepare to think of their young broods of chickens for the Spring, and as soon as opportunity offers itself eggs are begun to be hatched. The majority of women in the vicinity of my home seem to adopt the same method in selling eggs for hatching.
