    When we are calling pigs we say "Murish, Murish," and when we are hunting them we say "Hurse, Hurse".
    When eggs are being set for hatching a horse-shoe is put under the nest and if a thunder-storm occurs, it is believed, it will not damage the eggs.

  2. Care of our Farm Animals
    We have at home;-
    (1) Three Horses,
    (2) Six Cows,
    (3) Eleven Calves,
    (4) One Goat,
    (5) Two Pigs,
    (6) Ducks,
    (7) Hens,
    (8) Three Donkeys,
    (9) Turkeys.
    The cows have all got names; Walshe's Cow, The Kicker, The Little Grey, Loughlin's Cow, Kelly's Heifer, Black Cow.
    When bringing the cows in out of the field we say "Bailup, Bailup" and when driving them out of the shed we say "Come out, of that" and we say the same to the calves.
    Our cow- house is divided into two parts, and two cows are in the top part and the remaining four
