    is taught at school for the last ten years. There were not as many houses in former days as there are now. There is a canal running through this townland but there are no lakes in it.
    There are a school, a chapel and two shops in it. The inhabitants are all Catholics.

  2. My home district is in the townland of Puncher's Grange, Parish of Feighcullen, Barony of Connell, and Co. Kildare. There are about 24 families in my home district, and about 140 people. Most of the houses are slated, but there are also a few thatched houses. There are [tree] three old people over seventy years, living in my home district; but they cannot speak the Irish language, they have good old Irish names on many fields and paddocks etc.
    Grange got its name from a granary where grain used to be kept, and it is said that the granary
