  1. I know two "Fairy Forts"
    "The Witches' Cave"
    "The Ban Shee's Fort"
On the top of Grange Hill, Barony of Connell, Parish of Feighcullen, there is a cave called the "Witches Cave"
It is of a round shape with rocks all round it.
No one ever dared to venture into it, for it is said that anyone who ventures in will not come out.
Older people say that an old witch comes out of that cave every year. The owner of the land never interfered with it.
    (2) "The Ban Shee's fort" is situated in the townland of Mayfield, Barony of Connell, Parish of Allen, Co Kildare It is of a round shape with trees growing around it
Some people say the Irish built them to pretect their houses from the English soldiers.
The Ban Shee was supposed to live in that fort long ago.
