  1. The following is a list of the few cures which are still practised in this locality.
    The cure for a tooth-ache is to chew a certain weed which grows in this locality. The weed of course is poison but if it is chewed without being swallowed it will cure the tooth-ache.
    The sting of a hived bee cures rheumatism if the bee stings you where the rhumatism is.
    If you get the sting of a nettle and rub a dock leaf to it, it will take the itch out of it and prevent it from blistering.
