    Built in 1926 by V. Rev John Kane P.P. Allen, with local aid and Government Grant.
    The site was given free of all charge by Mrs E Kelly of Newtown who then owned the land.
    The old Milltown Nat School was on the roadside on the edge of Milltown Cemetery. An inscription engraved on a stone set into one of its walls reads:-
    "This House was erected by the Rev. Ml Lawler P.P. aided by the subscriptions of the Faithful A.D. 1828"
