    Crosses used to be made from straw called St Brigid's Crosses.

    Crosses used to be made from straw called St Brigid's Crosses. These were stuck up in the thatch on St Brigid's Eve. In Herbert's in Lowtown there are lot of those crosses stuck in the thatch
