    A soldier was coming home from Lowtown on a horse.

    A soldier was coming from Lowtown on a horse. At Derrymullen bridge the horse shied & jumped into the canal. One night Mr. Carroll was going home & he saw the soldier standing under Derrymullen bridge. People came then & buried the body in Carroll's furze. His own people came later on & took the body away.
