  1. Roads
    Some of the roads I know are:- Mosses road, the back road, the road beside the canal is called the bank, the bog road, Boland's carway the Kilmeagure road, Behan's carwayl the old road going down to Robertstown, Hison bank, and the high road. Some of those roads are very old. There is a short-cut to Allen through the fields and it is called "Saint Brigids Walk".
    Long ago people always went across the fields to mass. There are many paths going from here to Allen chapel. There was a road going to Robertstown
