    they know some Irish words. They can tell stories. There were more houses and people in the townland long ago. There is the ruins of an old house near our house where people named "Foley" lived. They emigrated to America. The land is hilly in some parts.

  2. The houses long ago were different from the houses now. A bed called a "cathleach" was in the kitchen in a place in the wall. The chimneys were not very good, and the smoke used to come out in the door.
