Allenwood South and the parish of Allen and the barony of Connell. There are over thirty families in Allenwood South. The names most common in it are Duggan and Doyle. There is a place called "Duggans town" in it. Most of the houses are thatched. There are not many old people in the townland. There were a lot more houses than there are now. There are the ruins of the old houses still there still.
