  1. On the Carbury-Drehid road there is a place called the "Jobber's Stick". The story goes, that at this spot, years ago, a jobber was murdered & at midnight ever since, his ghost appears to passers by. The "Jobbers Stick" is a lone bush growing at the place where the murder took place & it is remarkable that for a half-mile on each side of this lone bush, there are no other bushes of any kind. Those who wish to protect themselves, take care to arm themselves with stones. One stone thrown at the "Jobbers Stick" prevents the appearance of the ghost. Quite a large accumulation of stones now lie around the long bush. Beside the "Jobbers Stick" there is a large well from which a large frog is said to appear at night.
