    In the (twelvth) twelfth century Maurice of Toole took to wife O'Byrne.

    took to wife. O'Byrne Maurice was Prince of Kildare and father to Laurence. Lorchan was the youngest of four sons, and was born in Castledermot in the year 1132. He was baptized before the Shrine of St Brigid and received his name Lorchan.
