    obtained at these Wells. Great cures are obtained at Father Moore's Well. People specially bring the sick to this Well. People bring the water home with them. Those who visit the well have great faith in it. Hardly any one passes this well without visiting it, and they also drink from it.

    After the Insurrection of 1798 the rebels assembled near the Curragh at Gibbet-Rath. They had made terms with the English. When they were disarmed General Duff fell upon them, and slew the majority of them. This was a very brutal act.
