There was a priest fleeing from the insurgents on horse-back and he had to make his horse leap a very big jump to escape and the horse landed so heavily that he left marks of his hooves in the ground and the marks of the horse's hooves are there to this day and it is called the Leap of Allen and that's how it got it's name.(no title)

In the centre of Killybegs graveyard there stands the remains of a once beautiful Catholic Church.All that is left of it now are the two end walls and two half side walls. The walls are almost covered with ivy.
