  1. The Battle of Bunkers Hill
On the right hand side of Newbridge near Ceilbridge Co Kildare there is a hill which is called Bunkers hill where there was once a battle fought.
This battle was fought during the Rising of the Fenians. Many lives were lost.
It is said that when the new road going through Castletown Demense was being made that there was cart loads of human bones found, which were afterwards taken and buried in Donacomphey, Celbridge.
In one of Mr Ronaldson's fields there is still to be seen five graves.
