4. Walk in snow in bare feet do not put near fire (ditto). - 5. Make poultice of mustard put on chilblains if not broken (Mrs Hogan , Celbridge)
- 6. Wash your feet in Glauber Salt ( Mr R Maguire, Celbridge ).
- 7. Bathe in very hot water ( Mrs Hill, Celbridge).
- 8. Bathe feet in hot water and rub any kind of oil on it ( Mrs Wing, Celbridge heard from parents).
- 9. Salt and water bath is a cure ( Mr Hill, Celbridge heard in Co Wicklow).
10. Get a raw turnip slice it and put salt on it and rub juice on chilblains morning and night till gone ( heard over wireless). - 11. Rub with sulphur off a match ( Mrs Hollingsworth, Celbridge).
- 12. Beat feet with prickly holly (Miss Hamilton , Celbridge).
