    The names of fields around here are,
    (1) The quarry hill field because there is a quarry in it and stones were taken out of it to build Newtown Chapel.
    (2) The stoney field because there is gravel and stones in it.
    (3) The Clabbock field.
    (4) The lawn field because it is in front of the house.
    (5) The cock field because many years ago there was hay in it and the cocks of hay could not be counted as there were so many in it.
    (6) Charlesse's field because people of name lived in it.
    (7) Connor's field because people of that name lived in it.
    (8) Lugado field
    (9) The Scribeen and
    (10) Horan's meadow field because it was always for meadow.
    (11) The Clausire field and
    (12) The pig field because nothing only pigs were reared in it.

    They are all situated in the townsland of Corcoranstown in the Parish of Kilcock, in the County of Kildare, and in the Barony of Ikeathy and Oughteranny.
