There is a deep fence on the roadside bounding Daniel Brosnan's farm at Shanara and a lot of bushes growing on it where it is supposed that fairies are seen playing music there it is said some man saw them. There is a fort in John Connor's field where it is said that men riding on saddle horses are heard on certain nights of the year and the whips were heard lashing. There is a field in one of Batt Doherty's where dead people are said to be heard playing football.
