  1. Once upon a time there was a a great famine in the country.
    When it came to Kerry it laid waste the people
    God took pity on them and he let food fall from Heaven
    One woman in Churchtown ran out and said she would gather a good store for the winter. She got very greedy and said she hadn't enough
    All at once the food stopped falling and the greedy woman had nothing but a basket of stones.
