  1. The old people used not to go to bed Christmas night. The people of the village used to visit each other. They used to leave the door opened for the Blessed Virgin to come in Christmas night. And used to have midnight masses and go miles away to hear Mass.
    They used put a big log into the fire that used to last for the twelve day's of Christmas People believed that Little Christmas night the water was changed into wine, and silk out of rushes, money out of the gravel, rabbits out of the eagles.
    If you did not eat meat Saint Stephens day you would not get sick through the year.
