  1. The remains of an old graveyard are situated in our farm in Coovyeen, Gleninchaquin, Tuosist, Kenmare. About thirty or forty little head stones are placed each at the head of a grave and as well as the little flags about 1 foot high are placed around each grave. It is one of those graveyards of the Famine days. Still even this year, the women of the Glen paid rounds here Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday & they leave behind them tassels of shawls, etc, as a kind of honour to what they feel is a holy place.
    It has never been meddled with but honoured as a relic of the past.
