    and nettles are considered good not only for pigs and fowl but for table use.
    I heard an old woman now dead saying that poultry cannot be healthy if they do not get at least three meals of chopped nettles and porridge or with meal. It is a blood tonic.
    It is used particularly in Spring. Moss is put to a bleeding part and also cobwebs to stop the blood
    Iodine and Lysol take the place of these now.
