  1. One fine evening about six o'clock at the time Fr. McCarthy was parish priest in Ardea, they heard the lovely music at the hall door. They opened the door and there they saw a beautiful white hare playing a fiddle. After awhile he went away and they followed him and he went into a liss. He came three evenings in succession. At last they followed him to the liss and one man, Patsy MCCarthy a nephew of the priest's. went into the liss after the hare. He got very lonely when he was a part of the way and returned, for he heard a great noise inside in the liss. He got sick and died a short time after.
