  1. Long ago there lived a poor widow's son. His name is Jack. He went away in search of work. He got work in a rich farmer's house. The farmer put him herding cattle far away from the house. near where a giant lived. He didn't know that the giant was there. When he was minding the cow's he saw the good grass on the other side of the boundary fence. Suddenly he heard the noise. After a while on comes the giant. Now Jack was very smart and clever. He put a stone in his sling and waved it around his head three or four times and being very accurate
