  1. Long long ago there lived in Loughanacreen by the sea a man having no cattle or no food to eat. One day he was going rock fishing and he saw a small little woman sitting on a rock and she combing her hair. The sea drew near her, she threw herself in the water and in the rock was a small little cap. The poor man picked it up and walked home with it. The little woman followed him and demanded the cap of him but he refused. He locked it up in a box. Next day she came with five beautiful black cattle and there she remained until the man got old and all his family
