  1. Long ago there lived a woman named Mary Murphy in Ardgoom. She used to travel around by night with the fairies. My great grand father Pady Sullivan (cumba) lived in Gurrans at the time. One night he was up minding a child that was sick by him. He heard a knock at the door. He went to the door and he put his hand on the latch but he in thought in his mind not to open the door.
