  1. A Good Dog
    Long ago there was a sheep-dog at the post office Ardea. He was supposed to be the best dog in the parish. At one time there was a football march between Ardea and Daurus. In the sliabh near Clonee bridge they played. The ball very often was kicked out in the lake, the dog used swim out for it without anyone telling him. At one time they missed a horse. He was bought from a man from Cloherane. The horse left Ardea in the night and went to Cloherane nex day. They searching for the animal
